Default The winter blues thread...

So i thought this was a very good thing to ask everyone how they cope with harsh never ending winter season, sure there are those of us who are lucky enough to be deprived from this season, but for the majority of us our cars are tucked away in the garage awaiting the snow to melt for that next spirited drive. And yes it will be very spirited when i get my car out on the spring. Im sure to find some well known local twisty windy road to break the engine out of its hibernation. But as for now i only sit on the forum looking at old pictures that give what seems to be the illusion of summer else where happening right now. Not to mention the west coasters who post pics of their cars not realizing how bad they are teasing the rest of us with the image of ground that can actually be seen not covered in multiple feet of snow. So that is my rant and to deal with this i have been planning to boost my s2000 sure i was pondering selling the kit but im gonna try and endure out the tail end of winter with a bang and hopefully come out with a nice setup in the spring. You dont necessarily have to be building your car to post. maybe you sneak in the garage for that unneccesary wax coat that has been applied 5 times already since november. At any rate id like to hear about it. Thanks for reading. What do you do to cope?

I yell that every time i have shoveled snow. I get angry that people live willingly in this enviroment.
My neighbors are all scrared of me and think im probably crazy, but hey im just blowing steam.

This thread is for those like myself who are stuck living in the snowy conditions...

I cope by not tucking it away.
I drive it regardless of the conditions, snow, rain or otherwise.

You truly appreciate the car more when you can't drive it all the time. I really enjoy driving my other cars during winter. Invest in a second car that you enjoy driving.

well, i'm in atlanta, so...probably not the same conditions as you're getting. we did have 2" of snow last weekend though along with some ice on the road. good time to do some driving and see the the spun out and abandoned cars on the side of the road

if i lived up north i'd definitely have some blizzaks and winter wheels.

This is the hardest time of the year for me too. I am really starting to get the itch, especially when we start getting spring like weather during the week.
