Default Wiper Blade Tip

Although my car is only 10 months old my wipers were streaking so I went to PepBoys to get some refills. Decided to get new Bosch MicroEdge Excell blades instead. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Like night and day, or like wet and dry. Best $25 I ever spent. There's a MicroEdge and a MicreEdge Excell. Be sure to get the Excell, it has 2 kinds of rubber. You will need a 16 inch and a 20 inch. Fit perfectly on the S2k and look stock.

Here's another tip: Whenever you clean your windshield clean your blades too. They get contaminated with road grime and sometimes, cleaning them with a strong detergent can fix it.

I agree completely - best by far I've used. I probably tried 1/2 dozen different manufacturers on my Maxima (which for some strange reason was much worse than any car I've ever seen). The Bosch MicroEdge Excell have been around a couple years now. I too high recommend them -- if you must take it out in the rain.

andrewewing,

Did you replace the frames or just the blades? Also, mineral spirits is great for cleaning the blades. It removes all the 'dead' rubber.

cleaning them with just a rag after washing the car and then cleaning the window really well and applying rainex has worked great for me...

Greg, these only seem to come complete, blade and rubber and are about $11 each but the blades are nearly identical to OEM in appearance and a perfect fit.

I just switched back to the OEM blades after using the Bosch blades for several months. Here in S. Florida the OEM blades last longer and work better - perhaps it's the sun.

Over the years when I've tried Bosch blades, I too didn't think they lasted very long. Haven't had them in a few years though. I stick with Anco now.

I just replaced my Anco's on the 4Runner that had been on there for about a year. I used the Excell and what a difference!

I can see, I can see!

Thanks for the recommendation!
