While replacing my pink faded tail lamps, I discovered an extra wire that was not shown in the diagrams. It is on the driver's side, taped on the inside and seems to come from the same wire conduit as the rest of the lights. It peeks thru from the inside and is pinched between the gasket and the car.
Anyone know what this is for? I left it the way it was when I reinstalled the new lamps.

I'll go with the antenna theory
Really? I don't inderstand how it would pick up anything being pinned between the body of the car and gasket/seal for the tail lamp. Does everyone have this? (I would expect yes, if its for the remote)
It seemed odd, since it was not discussed in the how-to, and was not on my diagram.
....just checked to see that the remote works....all good. Not that I messed with it, more curiosity.
