I thought it was illegal to drive uncrash tested in the U.S. or maybe an insurance co. won't insure it??????

Sorry, but the Consumer Reports mags say it has not been crash tested.

And no, in the US the car does not have to be crash tested. It just has to have safety equipment. This is why you see Hummers and antique cars in the US
