wood trim
The tone of this thread surprises me a bit. I frankly see nothing wrong with making changes to improve (at least in one's own eyes) the appearance of their car, be it a dash trim kit, a leather console cover, spoiler or different wheels. All of them change the 'simple look' that Honda designed. But if it makes one happy do it. Calling someone a Melvin because ones taste are different is a bit over the edge. Frankly I don't care for add on spoilers, but I sure do not call people Melvins for it.
A thought about the wood trim. I decided that I might like the look, so just to see what it looks like, I took some wood grain contact paper and stuck in on. Well I did not like the look, but at least I could see the idea. You might try that before you make up your mind.
Hey Rick, if that brushed aluminum kit is just gathering dust send it my way, because that idea still intrigues me, and if I like it, I would certainly be willingly to pay you a fair price.

gdw, I don't think he was being called a 'melvin' in any sense more than just a friendly ribbing sort of way.
I, quite honestly, couldn't care less what you or anyone does to their S2000 (as I said above)...if it makes you happy doing it, go for it! I did get a chuckle of the melvin comment, though...it was meant in humor.
But I for one wouldn't do such a thing...be it wood, aluminum, carbon fiber...any of it. Mainly because it's all stick on pieces...I think that is cheesy.

Yeah, that would be hot. You could call it a Honda Country Stook.

Okay Greg,
Even though you have a great first name, and I really enjoy most of your post, my point is that I think that s2kblk just wanted to see a photo of a wood dash trim. Didn't really care what everyone thought, just wanted a photo. But instead he got flamed.
Now about 'stick-on' mods, I personally love Rick's new badges. And I would encourage everyone to run, not walk, to the computer to order one of his leather console covers (both stick on items).
I do know that you and others were just giving your opinion, and most was in good humor, but I was just sticking up for the guy. He or she might not have taken all in good fun.

I agree you should be able to do whatever you want to your Stook as long as it follows the Modification Guidelines Book. You are aware of the Guidelines book, right??
Sure, it states on page 14, paragraph 3, line 7 that "No Human in their right mind, or wrong mind, may put a tree inside their car".
So, there you have it! Sorry, I'd really like to approve this for you but as you can see the other members will not overturn this rule in the Modification Guidelines Book.
Wood panels on the outside though....I don't think that's against the book.
