It happened!!! Hell froze over yesterday in Chicago and I bought an S2k in the process!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME OR GAVE ME ADVICE AND SUCH. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE GREAT INFO THAT I HAVE READ ON S2KI.COM UP UNTIL NOW!!

I am now the very proud owner of a 2001 Berlina Black on black S2000. It came with a pretty decent stack of mods and the price was RIGHT:

Hardtop (OEM black)
Amuse style lip (mounted on car)
OEM lip (not mounted)
Cleared headlights and side markers
AEM CAI
Apex-i N1 exhaust
Comptech adjustable coilovers
Comptech swaybar
Black stock rims
APR R1 drag wing (not my first choice in spoilers, but it came on the car)
LCD screen ready to be put to use
**edit: apparently I have grills too! They're black and I didn't notice them when I bought the car!
**edit to the edit: I also have red honda badges. (in case you didn't notice, I'm REALLY psyched about the car!)

Other than the standard one or two very minor dings and a couple of scratches, its in GREAT SHAPE. Needs to have the clutch TSB performed, but its still under warranty so hopefully that won't be a problem.

I'll be looking to chat with all you austin owners when I get back in town.

I'll post pics and register as an owner later this week as well.

Thanks again!!

Danny

Munckee

Congrats. You finally got what you wanted (I only say this because I saw most of your inquiries in the For Sale threads).

What was the bottom line? I recall you saying your limit was $23k or so. If you got this car for that price with all of those mods, then you definitely got an awesome deal.

Munckeeeeee! (nice to know your name is Danny, but you'll always be munckee to me) CONGRATS! Sorry my leads didn't pan out, but hey, as long as you got one right! Sounds like a great car...how much for the OEM lip?

Happy Motoring

Bill

Doughboy, it was just a bit higher than $23k, but not too much. I still really feel like I got a great deal. Heck, I would have taken the car with just the hardtop and been happy with the price I paid. The rest is just gravy!

Bill, thanks for the leads. I certainly appreciate the help, I just happened onto the this one and jumped at it! It was a matter of two days from my first contact with the seller to the time I handed him a check.
I'm definitely considering selling the OEM lip. I want to get it home first and get settled in the car, but I'd really like to sell off a few of the parts and possibly make up the small price difference I paid over what I had originally intended. I'll let you know as soon as I decide to sell it though.

Littleton, great picture!! Thats about how cold it was in chicago when I picked up the car yesterday!! Not icy (thank god), but really cold and windy (go figure, you know, windy city and all).

Way to go, Munckee! You picked a good day & time of year to come up here for your S2000 shopping. I haven't seen any advertised in the $23K or under range recently. Did you buy from a private party? Anyway, yesterday was like the coldest (plus the wind!) day of the year so far..... and there aren't a lot of convertible buyers here while we're all hibernating inside our warm houses
