You guys are actually taking what Ruprecht said seriously?
I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive that he not only knows better, but was just yanking the chain to see what he could flush out.
All seriousness aside, VTEC does make the numbers on the speedometer change more quickly.

got me one that one
i think people just read the title of the thread and start posting.
i read every word and was really surprised to see how many people just went to posting, clearly not reading and understanding the OP's post.
didn't some guy have a flash on the basic etiquette of forums? lol
i love you S2Ki guys just for what i've witnessed in this thread. no homo (not that there's anything wrong with that). ;p

Speed sensor...that could be it.
If your speedo was calibrated in mph, but your VTEC somehow got switched over to kph, then the displayed result would be the sum of the two readings.
For example, at 40mph, the VTEC would read 64kph.
The speedo would show 104mph.
At higher speeds this would be more dramatic.
At 60mph, your VTEC would read 97kph, for a sum of 157mph on the speedo

Do you have ANY clue at all what VTEC is?
That being said, should the VTEC pressurization system fail, VTEC can revert back a gas form. This could cause VTEC consumption above recommended specification.
Not good...demon speed is only one symptom.
VTEC also has unusual polarization properties (it was originally derived as byproduct from research on superconductors in the UK). As such, some believe that electrical problems, fabric wear, and even upholstery stains can be traced back to VTEC anomalies resulting from ionization and flux disturbances.
Love it, just don't take it for granted.
Some people need to learn ow to read before they post.
Something similar happened in my fiero,
I hit a bump going about 40 and next thing I know im doing 80, then to my suprise the needle keeps climbing all the way around. Man I was flyin!
It was a simple fix, the gears on the speed sensor just dropped off, just had to put them back on.
Hope the stealership doesnt get you too bad.

I just had to say that this was one of the funniest threads I've read. Just goes to show that people are way to quick to post without reading!
Would you sell me your warp drive!!!
haha j/k, hope you got that speedo fixed!
