Worst Dealership ever
Recently I had my transmission replaced in my 02 s2k. Upon getting the car back, I noticed the sound and smell of exhaust which led to the exhaust manifold hardware not properly torqued. Some how they had the O2 sensors backwards. After pointing these issues out to the department manager and them going over the entire installation to ensure there wasn't any other problems I found to noticed the shifter itself was a little sloppy. Further investigation revealed the plastic cap on the bottom of the shifter was not installed and the plastic ring that holds the rubber boot had two clips broken. Why would they not inform me of this while replacing the transmission. The parts are under ten bucks all together and wouldn't take the technician all of three minutes to replace. WTF???
im willing to bet that all dealerships would do exactly the same thing because they are all crooks/morons. do yourself a favor and find a local mechanic that other s2000 owners in your area take their cars to and can vouch for
look at this >>>>Dealership........STEALERSHIP.. meaning: the dealershiploves to over price any and everything in their inventory.. u got ripped off and got
your Stewie worked
Well to my misfortune I am in the military and in this town all the mechanic shops whether dealership and or independent owned are all out to rape us. If it wasn't for lack of time and didn't have to trailer the car for two hours I would have taken it else where.
Despite the assertions and broad, sweeping generalizations above, not all dealerships are the same. That's precisely why the Honda dealer I use (only for warranty stuff) is farther away from me than 4 other Honda dealers.

Both dealerships and private mechanics have been known to take advantage and do poor work. The only way to avoid this is to find a recommended shop/dealership. They do exist.
I have actually had better luck in the past 16 years taking both my Z and S to dealerships than I have with independent shops. Acting like this guy is an idiot for going to his dealership is ignorant in itself.
I agree with the majority here. You need to find a dealership with experienced s2k techs. My dealership of choice is the 9th closest dealers to me, but they've always taken care of me and other s2k owners in the area.
