THe last time I let a "quicky lube " place change my oil they didn't latch the hood properly.Well I jumped on the freeway to head home and @ 60+mph the hood flew up; destoryed the hood and windshield. That was 1983

This guy has enough to deal with right now. The last thing he needs is people giving him crap for not checking the oil in 11 days. You shouldn't post if you are not contributing something useful here.
Stay polite and professional but persistent with the shop that made this mistake. They will not cooperate if you loose your cool. Good luck and keep us posted.

I almost never check my oil. I do all my own oil changes though, and monitor its consuption between changes. .5 -.75 quarts every 3500 miles consumed.. not bad! 
You should call your insurance company. Present to them the invoice of the shop that worked on your car last. They have lawyers and investigators that will fight for you.
I was an ins. adjuster at one point, and some lady rearended someone, claiming her brakes failed. 'yeah right' i said, but sat in her car, turned on the motor, and 'squish' ... brakes went right to the floor.
Upon further investigation, it turns out her last mechanic put power steering fluid in her brake fluid resivoir. the invoice said " topped off power steering and brake fluids" The shop confirmed that power steering fluid destroyed all rubber in her brake system, and it was the destroyed rubber around the master cylinder that caused the brakes to fail. We paid the claim and legal went after the shop.

If the car hasn't lost much oil, then the cap being left off is not the problem. Have the problem diagnosed by someone other than the shop who may have damaged the engine.

If the car lost less than one quart of oil from the cap being off, then the cap being missing is very unlikely to be the cause of your engine problems. I suspect that the folks who changed your oil may be responsible for a mess but not likely any engine damage.
Ok, i got it back today. They said that they found the old oil cap on top of the tranny. So i am thinking that they place the oil cap on top of the hole, but didnt tighten it down. Then it either fell off while driving or when i lifted the hood and thats why i wasn't immediatly smelling oil. They said that they think the oil cap was what was causing the noise. I dont notice a noise anymore, and a took it up to vtec and everything seems fine. Do you think that i should still run it by the dealer, or should everything be good.

That's where they normally fall to according to what folks say around here. I could see it rattling around in there might have caused your noise. I would imagine that the shop that changed your oil might be willing to foot the cleanup bill.
