Do you think I'll be able to find an 02/03 for around 22,500? Thats about exactly what I want to spend.

With spring upon us it's going to be tough to get them to come down much lower. With the low mileage and warranty it seems like a fair deal.Even most 02's will only have a 1 yr warranty left. Best of luck in whatever you decide. Keep us posted.

this statement is not true in Mass - a car cen be sold as new as long as the car was never titled - a dealer could drive the car for 36k miles and still sell it as "new"

Correct me if I'm wrong but if it is a 2000 S2000 and it is now 2004 the three (3) year term of the warranty has expired thus no Factory Warranty. It is whichever runs out first, years OR miles, not both. What they may be including is an extended warranty and you have to be careful what those cover and does not cover.

Nope. Because the car has never been titled...its still under full factory warranty. The 36 months and 36,000 miles starts from when I purchase the car. The 2,000 miles on it don't affect the warranty...still 36,000 more.

I'm fairly certain that new car warranty's start with date of 1st sale, thus if they are selling it as new ( as it was never registered), it would still have 3 yrs.

When I bought my 'S' the dealer had an 03 Spa Yellow that was a "demo" car with 1300miles. The car had been loaned to WKTU (Radio station in NYC) for publicity stunts. At first I was offered the car. After ripping the salesman a new one for even suggesting it, we got back to business on a REAL new car.

Be careful with something that is in the 1000-2000 mile range. If it was a demo, be assured it was abused and not broken in properly. The Spa Yellow that I passed on IS STILL IN THE DEALER SHOWROOM! I bought my car in October '03...6 months later and no buyer...wonder why. The KTU guys must have beat on that car mercilessly. Oh well, buyer beware.

yes, good advice, make sure you buy carfax for a month when you get serious about putting money down.
