Was that worth it?
Hi all, I am a noob here, I am currently considering purchase a S2k. The one I was interested is 2005 white with red and black interiors.ONLY 20000km. But the only question is it contains over 10000 Damage report. After i talked with the first owner, he said that the damage is impact on the rear trunk, he spend on all $10k on reparing the rear trunk and body stuff. There was nothing destoried on engin and mechanical things.
If all he said were truth, then do you guys think
1. is this a good deal for me to purchase this car?
2. will the handling of the car being effected by this amt of damage?
expecting for any suggestion.

Depends on how much you're getting it for. Without that number and without inspecting the car, your question cannot be answered.
If the price is right, why not?
Anyway, over $10,000 on repairing just the rear end of the car must've been a pretty severe rear impact!!! But then again I suppose perhaps it's done by a very reputable body shop... so maybe it is now as good as mint condition. it's not like the frame is bent or anything...
Anyway, just test drive it and see if anything 'feels' wrong first. Then lowball the seller. If you can't get a super good deal out of it, then just walk away.
If you're not very good at inspecting cars or you don't know anyone who's pretty good at checking things out for you, then it's probably better if you just buy a new car and avoid all this hassle.
