I drive the S2000 like any other car, minus taking corners a little faster. Its not fast in a straight line, and its not where the fun in driving this car comes from, but its incredible in the twistys. WOT Around town is rather useless IMO. Just killls your gas mileage and makes you look like a ricer.

I took the S up to a nice little lake a good ways up in the hills - was working her pretty good keeping it in/near VTEC most of the trip - the little car really shines there in the corners.

I don't know, I don't see the all the hype about the performance/RWD/VTEC fear. I think overall the S2000 is rather tame, though definatly spirited, but even at 6K+ its not that "raw" and certainly managable. Maybe its because I drive an AP2, or maybe its from coming from a '71 240Z with a boosted L28 so I might be hardened to "thrills" of RWD WOT.

When I drive the S, I try to find a rural route to any destination. That translates to some fun on any trip I take, even if it adds several extra miles to my journey. If a rural route is not an option, I'll consider driving my truck.
Owning a S2000 in the city is very frustrating though, from what I remember when I lived in Va Beach.
dood tell me about it. i work overnight and driving into work at 10 o'clock there was so damn much traffic that i couldnt even enjoy having the top down. it kills me cause i dont like bringing my S on base so i usually drive one of my other cars (i know that makes me sound like a yuppie asshole but they both cost me less that 1500 each) that when i wanna drive it i get stuck driving like 10 under the speed limit. F*&k i wanna kill people around here.

This is off topic, but how do you have an AP2 with the AP2 gauge and 9000 RPMS?
The AP2 in other parts of the world didn't get the 2.2 liter until later. So you could get an AP2 with the 2.0 liter motor in it instead. However it does show he from the US so I suppose the only way for that is an engine swap Either way that is just stock pic in his sig of a gauge cluster.

I get on the throttle almost everytime I drive the car. It's so hard not to. Like stated before. There is a speed limit, but it's not specified how fast you can get to that limit.

You might check the code book for your area. Where I live, hard acceleration can lead to a ticket for exhibition of speed.

"Hard Acceleration" seems subjective and hard to prove.

I can't drive the S without WOT at least once on my journey. I love it!!!!
