Regardless, the onus is on Honda to prove that what you did has caused the problem, and not anything else.

They would have to argue along the lines of:
a) the car was not designed for such use (eg high speed cornering may cause problems due to oil pan not being designed for that purpose)
b) driver error (eg over-rev, wrong gear selection)
or other factors such as debris on track, collision etc may void warranty.

But the main point is that they have to prove the claim was caused by you being at the track. Eg they cannot deny your claim for faded tail-lamps because you were racing.

One problem I see mentioned on this site a number of times is that the dealer claims you over-revved the engine. How do you prove you didn't, if all the symptoms match that problem? If you were at a track constantly around the rev-limit, attacking corners isn't there a possibility that caused the problem?

They can make all the notes they like, but in the end they still have to prove cause and effect.

Utter and Complete
Why would a race track give any information to a manufacturer?

You are paying them to use their facility, why would they jeopardize that?

I have been to many track events (road racing) never once has anyone needed a Vin or Tag number.

As was rightly pointed out to me, the Racing forum is the best place to go if you are looking for discussion about this.

Here are some links on said topic:

(although these largely deal with autocross)
