Default Would it be possible...

for people like myself who have put scratches underneath the bumper, to buy a thin rubber strip, and put it right under the bumper out of view, that will protect the paint underneath from nudges/scratches?

Has anyone tried anything similar? or think putting some sort of adhesive on the paint under there would cause problems?

Thanks!

One of the Bay Area guys has a composite metal strip of some sort mounted under the froint lip. It resists all sorts of things that would otherwise damage the bumper. too late for mine , but its a great idea!

I thought about that with my silver S2K (before I totaled it). It was pretty tore up there, as well. Perhaps a colored plastic tape like the stuff around the windshield?

What about 3M Stone guard or other such materials? Yes
its clear and would show any existing scratches, but its always a good investment for new S2K owners such as myself.

I get more scratches on the black flap things in front of the two front tires than underneath the bumper. I don't have a chin spoiler maybe that makes a difference.
