Default would u buy s2000 of ebay?

just wondering... im thinking about getting an 03+ s2k and in the past i saw some s2k's on ebay that looked good and was at a good price... but im from socal and most of those good deals are from the east coast or far enough for it to be shipped to me instead of picking it up... but i was wondering if u guys would trust buying a car without test driving it and inspecting the interior, exterior, etc with your own two eyes. and if something does go wrong with the car, wouldn't it be a pain to go through many headaches on how to deal with the problem so that you dont get the short end of the stick? i dont know just want some input.

I'd be careful about it, but I'm sure if you ask nicely someone local will check it out for you. Still, whther you view it or not there is always an element of risk involved.

yeah i understand that theres going to be risks whether or not you check the car out in person, but at least if you check it out in person then you can be in a better position to think whether or not the car is worth buying or not. the thing that sucks about ebay is that the prices are a magnet to the eyes, but the risks kill the fact that i would want to buy an s2k off of ebay.. im thinking about just going to a dealer or something to buy one.

If its a actual dealership/business selling it,I assume its much less risky.(and I think most of them do have some sort of refund/warranty if its an pretty immediate complaint or good reason.).Also,if its in a state no ttoo far,it may be worth spending that plane ticket to go there, review it thoroughly, then drive it home(if no prob)..rather than that few hundred on shipping charge, yaknow?.
Its just those "dealers" that boldly keep posting "No returns whatsoever. As is.Once you drive off lot,its yours."type stuff. (check the company's background if u want too)

would you guys trust a non honda dealer (or non car manufacturer dealer in that case) in buying an s2k? i mean yes carfax and stuff can help but you never really know what they did to the engine, suspension or whatever. i have a buddy who just bought a srt4 used with 80k miles and he told me that the previous owner put a stage 3 turbo on it along with some "other" mods... but he never really told him how hard he ran it or what other things he did to it. i have trust issues with dealers after getting screwed over. but dont wanna buy an s2k brand new since you lose 2-300 bucks once that thing leaves the lot and basically buying a used s2000 eliminates the fact that i dont have to worry about running the engine in and getting the same performance as a new s2k but for a few grand less
