I bought my '04 S2000, 1500 miles, ~$3000 worth of mods on eBay 2 summers ago and it was great... The car was perfect as advertised, the seller (private seller - not a company) had a friend who was able to transport the S2000 from Michigan to Virginia pretty cheap. Couldn't be happier.
The car came with Eibach Pro Springs, Powerslot rotors & painted calipers with S2000 stickers, a JL Audio 300/2 amp with Focal K2Pro (I think thats the model) speakers ... It was truly mint.
I did have someone from the AcuraZine boards go over and test drive the car for me ... (he was kind enough to do it for free, where as other people wanted $20 for them to do me this "favor") ... Unfortunately nobody on s2ki was willing to help, but the guy that test drove it took pictures too and talked to the seller and said he seemed like a nice honest guy .. Put a lot of confidence in my bidding on the car.
