Default Would you buy an AP1 but really wanted an AP2

Hey,

I got a really dilemma. I really want an AP2 but my financial situation will probably allow me to get an AP1 only. I test drove both and definitely prefer the AP2.

If you were me, would you settle for a AP1? I defintely prefer the extra torque and more compliant ride of the AP2. This is for weekend car only but still I think the AP2 would be more to my liking.

I'd wait, but that's me. I tested AP1s and AP2s extensively when I was looking, and I think waiting for an AP2 is worth it if that's what you want. The difference between an 03 and an 04 is only a few thou. If you're far from the AP2 mark, like it would take you two years to afford one, then I'd get the AP1, An S2000 is a great car and you shouldn't miss out!

Wait it out if you know an AP2 is exactly what you want.

How much more would you have to pay for an AP2?

I tested both. I went about 2k over what I wanted to spend and didn't end up with a hard top to get a 04. Having done that about 5 months ago I still don't regret it......it fact I'm glad I did.

I would wait until you can afford the AP2. I never settle for something less than I want especially when it costs that much.

I wanted an AP2 but had to settle for an AP1. I paid about 8-10 grand less from a similar condition AP2. I may upgrade to a Laguna blue or GPW AP2 in a year or two though. AP1 S2K's don't depreciate too badly if you're getting an early model.

However, if you're just a couple of grand away from an AP2, I'd just wait and get that instead.
