Default would you buy an S2K w/100k miles?

Hi,
First post...for those of you who have done this or have a lot of miles on your S2000, is it worth it to buy a 2000 S2000 with 100k miles? Honda's Honda, I know, but I don't know many people who have done this since the car hasn't been out that long. I currently have an 05' black RSX Type-S with 19k miles (yeah, stupid, I know). I want a speed upgrade, but am not sure if it will be considerable enough to justify trading up/down depending on how you look at it.

I live in Louisiana, how much, if at all would you pay for a used S2K with 100,000 miles?

Thanks for the input.

if you want a striaght line speed upgrade, stick with your K series. you get better gains with your rsx. if you want a handling upgrade then get an s2k

Depends on the price of the S2000. The RSX-S is a sweet car though. You only have 19k miles on it. I would keep that for a while.

And no I wouldn't buy an s2k with that many miles. I wouldn't buy any car with that many miles unless it was a beater.

If the price was right I'd get the S as a 2nd car and keep what you got.

Milage is not the ultimate indication on the condition of a vehicle. I'd rather have something with higher miles that's been properly maintained (w/ documentation) than something with lower miles with suspect history.

With that said, you should keep the RSX for a while.

True, but mileage is a really really good indicator of how the car was treated. The more miles there are also gives a greater margin of something that went wrong that went unchecked. It also depends how old the car is in relation to the mileage.

And of course whenever you look at a used car you should always ask to see the maintence records.

If I had the choice of a car with 100k properly maintained and one that was 30k properly maintained. I'd pick the 30k, everytime.

But I'm sure a properly maintained f20c would last a long time, 200k+. I would just want that extra 70k for myself.
