i'm about to purchase an S and I don't know if I should go with MY05 with my favorite color combo or MY06 with some other color..

i can't decide because 06 has reprogrammable ecu and comes with VSA which I could use in bad weather(since it would be my DD but I will try not to drive in snow) but I think I should get the color that I want because I will be looking at it every time I get in and out..and I don't want to regret each time..

let's just say the mileage is similar and 06 is 1-2k more expensive..

what would you do...

in your case color....... swap in a 00-01 ecu and its just like k-pro... LoL

 

the same thing happen to me when i went to get my s2000 they had an 04 nfr with 16,xxx miles for 22k which i wanted nfr or gwp and my 06 Sliverstone-black/red with 8,xxx mile for 23k. and i got the 06 but i wish i had gotten the nfr at times.

 

i'd go 4 vsa since u mentioned needing it in the weather

OP- you should go with the 06 if it has your second color preference. ask for a cheaper price. that way you get VSA and DBW with reprogrammable ECU and you somewhat satiate your color need.

 

if its same version (eg, 00~01, 02~03, 04~05), id go for color, but otherwise, id go for MY.

 

well, the 05 is an ap2v1 and the 06 is an ap2v2.... so they're not the same version...

 

Good question. I had a similar problem.

I'd usually say color but in this case I would suggest waiting it out a little longer or expand your search market to find exactly what your looking for. I'm in St. Louis and had to have mine shipped from NY. The VSA in my case was a must have. The S2K is a brilliant car and I had to have everything just the way I wanted it.
