I borrowed a Prius from a friend of mine for a week while adding a baffle on the oil pan. Job is done today, and I went for a test drive. sh$t, I almost crashed my S on the car in front the garage because the car suddenly revved up. Next, I went a freeway. my S revved up too fast, and I mis-shifted from 4th to 5th.

My mum got a new Prius and I drove it a few times...truth is they both handle and run very differently. You can't drive them the same way. The gas pedal of the Prius is much much softer and way way less responsive. I suspect it revved up because your foot got used to the Prius' gas pedal, just go easy.

 

I have both s2k and prius. ^ Ya the prius pedal is less responsive, especially in the EV mode. Over time, you get used to it.
