Default Wow, I am shocked!

Imagine my surprise when my account credentials from 7 years ago still worked on this forum!!! I sold my 2000MY when my daughter was born and am now back in the market for another S.

My question is, are there considerable differences between model years and if so, what should I be looking for? My budget is about $16k. Thank you in advance for the advice.

You can probably search on these.

03 best year for 9K 2.0 motor
04 best year for 2.2, with roof and 8.2k redline, new body style
06+ for reflashing ECU, but comes with TCS

$16k should get you an 00-05 with no more than 50k miles. You might find an 06 for that but it's unlikely.

There were major changes in 2004. Read up on that and figure out if you want an 04+ or not.

I'd shoot for a super-low mile 02-03 (AP1 with glass rear window) for $12k-$14k or an 04-05 (AP2 without VSA).
