One reason is that there is high turnover right now and the earlier years are selling for the price of the other rice rockets. This means a lot of younger people are getting their hands on it and really don't know what they are doing.

What's up with all the 15 and 16 year olds on the board with S2Ks?? Are their parents insane? I got in enough trouble in my parent's Aerostar at that age

It always amazes me how many of the wrecks involved worn tires/wet roads. Common sense goes a long way in keeping any car on the road.

Well, in suzukablueS2000's case above, it begs the question if they'd been driving the exact speed limit of the ramp would the car have crashed? Face it, the temptation to push the car to catch a thrill bites us all. Heck, it's sports car after all.

Which begs the question, if you're going to bend the traffic rules to enjoy your S2000 how do you do it responsibly because it's a contradiction? And I doubt there's a member here that's followed each and every traffic law without deviation. People don't even do that in their beaters.

Personally, I play and have fun in my S2000 but, judging by some of the posts I've read in the forums, I'm probably comparatively boring.

In RhinoS2k case it was an act of GOD that destroyed his S, 40 - 45 mph through a turn that was posted at 55 mph when he hit a dirt patch and went over the side of mountain. Not everyone can afford driving classes on a daily bias

I was on that run and I can't say how fast he was going. But if what you say is true then he was the only one going that slow. I do agree about the dirt and debris on the road being the real problem. Just before that particular corner my wife said that she was worried about rocks and debris on the road going through the corners. When we came around that corner she said "See I told you". Right again dear.
