wrecked my baby!
Man, I can't believe it. I was pulling out of a parking lot through a light last night, turning left, and when I first turned into the lane the car spun out and I ended up hitting the median. The most obvious damage was to the rear right wheel, where I just snapped the cv joint off and the wheel was pointing in like it had 4-wheel steering or something. They ended up towing it on a fatbed to the local dealer (I've moved from Colorado to Sarasota, FL now), and since they couldn't roll it they had to drag it backwards onto the bed. The guy goes "you might not want to watch me do this" before he started. I didn't. I justed went ahead and left early, leaving him to finish his business and deliver the car in the morning.
Anyways, just wanting to share my frustration/depression seeing my baby like that. To those out there who have had accidents too, do any of you think I need to worry about getting her fixed back to 100%? Does anyone have any experiences with this they can share? Do I need to worry about anything up front or in the rear that might not get noticed right away and maybe later crap out on me (she ran up onto the curb on the front left wheel and then spun around counter-clockwise where the rear wheel hit the curb and busted)? At least I think that's what happened -- it was all slow motion and surreal.
Again, just wanting to lament my frustrations, and was hoping to get some sort of reassurance from my fellow brethren. My family just doesn't seem to understand how much it hurts to see your baby hurt like that, and I figured who else to understand my situation but you all.
TIA for any help/insight anyone can offer.

Cool. Thanks LondonRam. I don't think there ended up being any body damage (surprisingly), but if there is then I'll definitely keep them in mind. I probably need to go down to the dealership and take another look at her to make sure. Just in case I need to, who is your connection?
Wow... this is exactly what I am scared of. I keep asking my boyfriend if I have anything to worry about, since this will be my first RWD car. My boyfriend basically said to just drive like I normally do and I should be fine. But then I hear about things like this and have to ask - were you coming out of the turn real fast or something? It just seems so unexpected that you would spin out like that! *worried*
The bodyshop is called Tom & Jerry's....the bodyshop used by the Porsche/Mercedes dealeships as well as other high end vehicles.

Nzaizar,
Actually you can. That is where I had my baby towed. My biggest worry at this point is to make sure she gets fixed back to 100%, and that I don't have to worry about something being missed and then breaking later on. If you maybe just ask them to take a little extra special care and treat her like she was their own, that would be really nice of you. You know, make sure that the adjuster knows of every little thing that might even be damaged and then make sure it isn't.
If you could help to reassure me that she is definitely under an attentive eye, that would make me feel so much better.
Thanks for your offer. I really appreciate it.
