i got my car monday. an 01 with 28k miles..... i was driving today on the highway and i got it up to 8k in first, then the maint required light popped up like 10 times, and now when i go to start my car it flashes like 10 times then stays off? i dont have the manual yet because the dealer is mailing it to meee.... need some feedback please

Give the search function a go! It's just a standard light that comes on after so many miles put on your car.

maintence required means you need an oil change, so change the oil then reset it.

go get ur oil change at the dealershp.... they know how to reset it

I think, if it's the same as the ap2's.. cycle thru trip button to the oil life display, and then hold down.. I beleive that works..

get in your car, push and hold the "Trip" button on the guage cluster, then put the key to the "On" position, but don't start the car. That's how you reset it.

From my own experience, if you know how to change your own oil you are almost always better off changing it yourself. You will save yourself time and aggravation instead of dealing with the incompetence of most Honda dealerships. At least you know what kind of oil is going in the car, that you are using the correct filter, and that it is actually getting changed. I hate Honda service, I would only go there if it was absolutely neccessary.

yea **** them, i got the extended warranty and i just read that thats for sucketrs cus they blame any damage on abuse by the drivers, is that true because if so i will cancel after my first year.....i got a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty
