Yeah extended warranties suck...

The maint. light comes on every 7500 miles. Just turn it off like someone earlier mentioned in this thread.

how do i reset
From the immortal xviper:

To reset the MAINTENANCE REQUIRED light (As indicated by the light that says, "MAINT REQU'D"):
- Have key inserted in ignition but in the OFF or LOCKED position.
- Push and hold the trip reset button on the right bottom corner of your gauge clutster.
- Turn key to full ON position and continue holding the button till the light goes off.
-(This part has been added for those who are impatient or who have the light only at the "blinking" stage and not yet solid.) KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO BE SURE OF A POSITIVE RESET. Or maybe just be patient and wait till the light is on all the time before doing this.
- (Some manuals may be a bit off in that they do not tell you to turn the key to the ON position.)

but really. change the oil yourself if you can, that saves you a mess of money and stress from dealing with careless techs at the honda dealership.

get in your car, push and hold the "Trip" button on the guage cluster, then put the key to the "On" position, but don't start the car. That's how you reset it.

i dont have the manual yet because the dealer is mailing it to me
enjoy the car!

buy a cd shop manual from ebay. best investment you can make at this point.

all this you need. you will want to do the oil, air filter, soon you will need to do the differential and or transmission oil changes and plugs soon

inspect the oil often, s2k's tend to use it.
inspect the rear tires, if worn the car handles shit like in the rain.
see if the dealer knows the radio code, disconnect the battery and you will need it.

get some 303 for the top, clean dry the top, sponge apply the 303
