I have the same problem. Mine happened when car got caught in a freak rain storm with the top down, but I have talked to people who have had the same thing from high humidity days when they run their ACs.

I am told mine will go away in few days to a week as all the little pockets of moisture finally disappear.

Just curious, but doesn't that display indicate you were going 80mph when you took the picture? (I don't own an s2k, but I am very interested, and don't know what different display modes it has, if any).

OK I got up to 260kmh with and without the AC on and I have 93000km on the car without seeing this problem.

Your odometer explains what's wrong. You're 178 miles out of warranty.

As someone who lived at the beach for a couple of years, I can say that the phrase "dry at the beach" is a bit of an oxymoron. There is always moisture in the air and the mornings/evenings will have a marine layer. I had a motorcycle that I kept covered in a garage and the handlebars still rusted. So I agree with the condensation conspiracy theory, since I am sure that the plastic display is not hermetically sealed

Also, I can't believe you were taking photos at 78 MPH! btw, if you were doing 85, the display may have dried up faster from the cumulative heat of the LEDs!
