$160? probably not, you could give a six-pack away every day for that for "goodwill" and get you known and buddy-buddy with enough people that they would know you and your car as off-limits...

Honestly it doesn't seem THAT big of a deal, when you consider they could have keyed the car or at worst slit the top open.

I'd take that $160 and pocket it each month (read: save it).

I doubt anything will happen within the next 10 months, and if it does, you'll have $1,600 to fix the damages (which should easily cover a cut top, etc.).

If at the end of 10 months nothing happens, pop that in your 401k or retirement plan and thank me 50 years from now. I'll happily take 5% off the top

But that's just me.

Did it scratch or leave any marks, it looks like it was placed on the car rather than thrown

I feel your pain. We just had our bumper replaced/ painted last year after I had a little "incident" with the S2000.

This weekend we were at the Fall Crawl (New England) and one of the guys offers to help remove scratches from our bumper. WHAT scratches??? We walk around the car to take a look.

Someone hit it Friday night while we were at dinner. Of course they left no insurance information, so it's our dime to repair it, and it won't "buff right out."

Scratches and cracked paint.....
