Default Xenon Headligths

As anyone had problems with the Xenon headlights?
Today while driving I turned on the headlights and I felt some lack of brightness. I checked them and one was not working, so I turned them off and on again, and all worked fine. I repeated this procedure another couple of times, and they always worked fine.
What could it be?? Bad contact?? Malfunction of the discharge system??
Any opinions??

Paulo

I had that happen once when I first got my S2000. I'm thinking the ignition system just didn't ignite the gas in the bulb because it worked after turning it off and back on. This issue has been mentioned before. Here is an old link

In the one year I've had the S2K this happened to me once. I did the same thing, turned off the lights and back on both lights lit. It was the right light that didn't turn on.

Xenon Lights usually don't burn out....but something they do....I haven't had a problem with my S2K...but my BMW 328i Xenon Lights(Passenger Side) went out. The next day I brought it to the dealers and had it replace under warranty.....the service manager couldn't recall the last time that he had to replace a Xenon lights.

btw...had the BMW for about a year and 7 months.

knock on wood...

This happened to me as well. At the time, the temperature was below freezing and I thought that may have been what caused it because the light worked the next time.. Go figure.
