xviper has always been a big help. but dude, it's just an online car forum

it's online! IT'S VIRTUAL! no need to get all serious about stuff unless you get threatened about something physical

pardon my english, but Fuck them man... So a couple weenies got upset cause someone wanted to use a picture of their car, well so ****ing what. I like those pictures and I'd love to have one. Like you said in your PM, i bet Honda would love to know the guy made money off those pictures (considering Honda got pissed off because Rick was selling SHIFT KNOBS that had "S2000" etched on it).

I at least have to give you many thanks for your efforts in the DIY threads, god knows I use those all the time and I will use them. So thanks a million.

RIP S2Ki.com

X has contributed a tremendous amount to the community and I hope he will reconsider his decision to leave. I've lost count how many times I have referenced his DIY topics and explanations. I'm sure it must be frustrating at times, but the as time goes on, a smaller, closer knit group of enthusiasts become a much broader, more diverse group.

Personally, I think X's comments were pretty harsh. Perhaps he read more into the post from DB8 than was intended. Maybe he had an unusually bad day - who knows. I thought DB8's initial comments expressed his differing opinion quite respectfully.

I think sigs on open forum would be nearly impossible to maintain "ownership" of, but good form should prevent people from "stealing" the creative work of another. At least on this board. I'm also not sure why he isn't required to be a sponsor here to solicit and collect money for his services. Clearly his work is creative and appreciated by many people.

Perhaps they can resolve this between them through PM's and the Mods can close these threads.

Good grief with all the drama!

Damn guys, it's just an internet forum. You should not feel like you need counseling after reading and responding to posts on here -- sheesh!

Back slowly away from the keyboard....

I cant believe someone would "quit" a forum due to someone else's post. Its an internet forum. If you dont like what someone says, dont reply... ignore it and the post will go away.

That said, XViper you were an asset to the forum despite your obvious condescending tone at times.

I try to live by (it doesnt always work) the addage:
"It is never wise to argue with a fool in public, as the passerby may be unable to distinguish which is the fool." Pretty good words to live by, especially on the web.

Thanks for everything you have done for the S2000 community Dave. I feel very fortunate to have met you and chatted (cars what else!)

I certainly respect your decision. Everyone has a breaking point. I am sure some people will never understand your reasons, but it does not matter they are your reasons.

I would like to ask you to reconsider. There will always be bad apples trying to infect the whole bunch. I work with the public in a small retail environment, it is difficult and trying (a lady threw a six pack of finger paint at me the other day!) but you cant let "them" get you down!

Thanks again for all your help over the years!

so what's the difference with "I'm not posting anymore so ......." thread?

Who was this directed to?

EDIT: Wow, that was weird. I guess I tried to quote a post that just got deleted!
