Xviper has left the building
Dave, you were a huge asset to this community, I feel very fortunate to have met you in real life as well.
Unfortunately s2ki really has taken a huge downturn over the past few years. I remember back when I purchased my first S2000, I was one of very few young people on this forum (18 years old at the time)... and it seems like now, there are tons of immature people here.
We've also witnessed some controversial changes by the administrators (the latest rule about no selling in your local forum is absolute bullshit in my opinion), so this too, adds to the problem.
I find I don't visit s2ki nearly as much as I used to. I rarely post outside of my local forum now, and even my number of posts in the local forum have decreased a lot in the last year.
I wish that some of the younger people coming in here would realize that they're driving a pretty special car, and that maybe they could take that aspect of it, and act a bit more grown up around here.
That probably will never happen of course, being that this car is now cheap enough on the used market for a lot of immature people to be able to afford.
But hey, we've all got a lot of great memories from back when this website used to be "fun."

Sorry to see you go. Really appreciated the DIY threads you made which helped me do alot of things to my car.
Also want to thank you for all the times you replied in my threads with informative answers when others failed to do so. You're a big part of s2ki.com and will definately be missed.

i doubt people care enough to remember my posts and then decide not to help me. People for the most part have real lives with other priorities......now if I posted hate on a ton of posts maybe they'll remember me, but really I'm one of thousands of users on s2ki with no real identity
Personally, I find it disgusting the way that the SoCal members ganged up on Xviper like a horde of jackals. X was a valuable resource on this forum and helped out more members of this forum than any of those SoCal guys combined. However, like many in this thread I realize those two threads alone were not the reason he's leaving. They were merely the straw that broke the camel's back. Frankly IMO it's a shame to lose him.
Undoubtedly, he will be replaced by some 18 year old kid who bought a used MY00 and wears his pants around his ankles and has no respect for anyone or anything. You think you'll get a lot of help from that guy? I doubt it. He's probably too busy calling people names and acting tough. Besides you probably can't understand what he's saying because he can't even spell the word "cat" correctly when he posts.
Sorry to see you go brother.
You were 1 of the 1st few people i've met on here.
All of the original s2ki members seem to be gone as well...
Duc, Billy, Greg, Albert, Johnny, and their gang were the 1st people my brother and I hung out with here on s2ki but they're all gone now as well...
Within the last year there a lot of newbies in the SoCal forum with no respect for anyone.
I think i_heart_my_DB8 should of handled his own fight but instead he posted in the SoCal forum to have the SoCal guys back him up...
Everyone here knows that SoCal people will jump into any topic to start a fight and gang up on people.
I keep things via PM but some people love posting in the forums to have their online friends back them up.

The apocalypse begins........ NOW!
While there are many generous people out there taking time to making this forum the best there is, X was definitely one of the leaders. I sure hope he reconsiders, he has done way too much for this forum to let a bunch of cry baby punks come in and tear it down.
