I came here 3 yrs ago after buying my S, and was a total noob when it came to everything. I posted up several questions in the UTH forum asking for advice and help. XViper replied back and did make light of the questions asked, BUT he answered all of them, gave me resources to further expand my knowledge, saved me time and most importantly money. Over the next few years like most of you, his DIY threads have continued to help me and has made my ownership more enjoyable. Its sad that a select few have to ruin it for others. I only hope that he views this thread and reconsiders his decision. Please add me to the list.

At least Xviper wasn't a pansie and ran back to his local forum to get support like someone.

Lets try and keep any arguments down as much as possible. Not trying to start anything with you, just trying to keep this one out of file 13.

Guys, what xviper needs is a break from the forum.

Being a moderator is tough work. Over a long period of time you get burned out and then you snap.

He's done a lot of good here on the forum and it's flattering to make a petition to bring him back. But the last thing he needs now is to come back and try to moderate the madness of a busy forum.

He needs some serious time off, let it be.

xviper hasn't been a forum mod for about a year. He's a community organizer for his region. He got out of the mod business to destress his life. Which is perfectly understandable because I now mod the same forums.

I think (or at least hope) that everyone realizes that this isn't really about trying to get XViper back. We just want to let everyone know how we feel, and pay some due respect to someone who has helped so many of us.
(Of course you already know this, but I felt it needed to be said anyway.)

Moderating forums is one of the most thankless and stressful things I've ever done, so even though I don't always agree with the mods, I do always respect and appreciate what you guys do.

I was just thinking what would be best for the community in the long run...very helpful advice/tips about the S or a bunch of little drawings of the car?
