yeah email dealers and see what they can do for you. obviously buying off season helps with the price. a friend of mine got his s2000 3k less than their asking price because it was off season.
Here in Savannah, off season for convertibles seems to be summer. Take a test drive in an S2000 with the top down on a sunny day and it's unbearably hot. When I got back to the dealership I was sweating like crazy. Spring and fall are perfect convertible weather.
The current economic downturn is great for people buying moderately priced sports cars. High fuel prices and low consumer confidence leads to slow sales and better deals for those of us who set aside practicality when buying cars.

25 before taxes on an 07 NFR was believable last year. I saw it around here as all the dealers had NFR's in stock. My silverstone was 27.7 before tax. They were willing to negotiate quite a bit more if I'd wanted NFR.

Anybody want to give that pricing the "snicker test"?

Bah! Just talked to the guy, and he said I am too late- the remaining cars already sold... they were left over 07's that they had in stock, and he said they were gone within a day of listing them online.
Good score Ap2-Lu-E, red would be my last choice for color but damn I would take any color on a new s2000 at $25k.
Steve claims they are a huge dealership and they order these by the dozens, so the left overs always go cheap. I should stay on the ball for next year!
EDIT: IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN BUY A NEW S2000 FOR $25K, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!

.... so fresh and so clean.. lol.. Yeah i was debating between red and silver but when they told me they had a silver they didnt mention it was sebring and i had my heart set on silverstone
I highly suggest December/January for a leftover. I was able to get a 2007 last December for a great price and took advantage of the low Honda finance rate of 4.9%.
My silverstone had only 10 miles and was still shrink-wrapped in their lot. The S is no longer as popular as it was and you can literally get a spanking new leftover more than a year after it was delivered to the dealer.
