Can't really go wrong with any..... do some research and choose for yourself.

I'd personally research the MY03-MY04 and decide on the 2.0 or 2.2 liter. Some prefer the 9G redline.

I have an '01 and an '05. Just tonight I decided I like the feel of the '01 better. It does depend on what you want in a car but after putting 55,000 miles on the '01 I am used to the tight feel and the 9K rev of that year. It should be close to the same for years 2000 to 2003. (Glass rear window happened in 2002 but they are not as tall as the plastic window.) 2004 and 2005 are different. Their redline is 8K and the car is more gentle in my opinion. I just decided I like the stiffer, older feel better with the harder Vtec kick. It just feels more responsive to my touch.

I would suggest you drive both versions, model year 2003 or earlier, and 2004 or later.

Search.

I own two, 00 and 01. I prefer the early years.

I also like spotted dick and pre-ripe olives. It could be I am a freak.

Any year! I have driven them all and they are all worth owning.

A late production 02 model will have all the TSBs from the earlier cars done along with the upgraded oil jet bolts in the engine.

the oil bolts can be added for probably $200 to any model year.

I have a 01. the plastic window isn't that bad but i wish i had a defroster sometimes.
