First off, I hope I'm in the right section for this.

I'm in the market for my first s2k.
With that being said, what's the best years for my first purchase? I've heard 06 is very good because of the tuning capabilities. I will be modding it but nothing too extreme.
What's the major differences between AP1 and AP2? I've read the chassis is quite different.
Basically just wondering what would be the best bang for my buck (looking to spend no more than $15-16k)
Is there a year where they changed the front end a little? I've noticed a few s2k's that look to have a longer front end, I'm a fan of that!
Bear with me as I'm still learning on the s2k world.

Just look for the cleanest and you'll be happy with it.

 

2009...if you can find one. They seem to be the most difficult to find

 

Best is highly subjective on any topic. You can definitely read up but you'll have to test drive the AP1 and AP2 to determine what's best for you.
