as the years roll by, acceleration stays the same

You obviously know little. The bump in the Boxster was in response to the S2000's success at a much lower price point. It got tired of being beat in road tests by various magazines.

That sounds like a good strategy for the S.
I am tired of it getting beat.

Hell, half the people can't handle the car as it is.

It's okay. I know some of us -- including myself -- gets a little too emotionally attached to the car sometimes

Dodge didn't care about significantly increasing the Viper's HP output until the Corvette came a knocking. It was the same for basically a decade. But hey, you gotta roll with the times.
If Honda's purpose was to make a car that beat Boxster's and Z3's etc, then they should have kept up with the times so that the S2000 of TODAY would be just as potent.
You guys are really funny. I'd love for someone to read your comments about how this car is so perfect and can't be improved upon 50 years from now.
They will probably be rolling on the floor... ha ha ha, poor primitive people. They thought that a 4 banger was only good for 240 hp. That was a lot back then. ha ha ha. They thought that that car handled perfectly... ha ha ha, Suburbans can run the Dragon and keep up with those old cars. ha ha ha.

Obviously you think it should have been. I'm sure Honda is devestated to disappoint you in such a way, but I dare say they will get over it eventually.

I agree. So it logically follows that this was not Honda's purpose.

(Maybe they just speak in a language some can't understand.

I love the fact that Honda does not need to get in any power battle with any other car manufacturer to sale cars.
Honda never tried to have the most power, but they definately seem to keep an eye on their cometitors. Nissan on the other hand likes to be THE hp king, while Toyota is probably the most modest about hp. Even in the Lexus brand, Lexus usually had pretty bland engines until recently.
