yellow glasses for night driving?
So... I'm nearsided and wear contact lenses. My night vision is kinda shitty, not horrible, I can see pretty well... but on-coming headlights really mess up my site for a bit and seeing at a distance isn't all that great.
so I know you can generally see better / sharper through yellow lenses (something to do with the light spectrum) so I was wondering if there were any yellow glasses that one could wear for night driving. If not, I'm really just going to wear my shooting safety glasses at night and hope it helps.

Yes, I too am short sighted, and I too have problems with night driving photosensitivity.
It's because I have an astygmatism, and also in general, contact lens wearers are usually more photosensitive due to the fact that something is contacting your eyeball.
You should get a pair of proper glasses for night driving. Also, I would expect that either your prescription is out of date (as sight lengthens as you get older) or your prescription just isn't as good as it should be.
Go to an ophthalmologist, as opposed to those jokers on the high street, and get your prescription redone. Also, high photosensitivity is a sign of any number of eye infections which are aggravated by contact lenses.

No, I mean short sighted, which is exactly the same as what you in the US call near sighted.

Don't wear tinted lenses unless you absolutely have to. Even a clear lens will let less light through, and colors make that even worse. Yellow and orange enhance contrast, though signs and other things will suddenly be different colors (bad).
Go see your eye doctor ASAP.
