thats why i ask if i should cut out a whole the size of the beam so that the beam is not affected by the yellow tint.
Although our HIDs are a "focussed" beam, there is still some good lateral scatter. You'd have to have a pretty big hole.

i wonder how a half yellow tint would look. yellow on bottom so it lights the wet road better and clear on top for better sign reflection.

France is big on yellow headlights. Don't know why. Perhaps one of our French comrades can help you.

I am interested in tinting out my headlights with a clear yellow film, vinyl or watever people use. Where and how do people go about doing this? What are your opinions on it? Will i have to cut out a hole for the hid beam so that the color doesnt become yellowish. This is just a feeler right now... just want to get some info on how to do this and what i need and where to buy the things.

Thanks

John

Any tint on headlights is illegal in all 50 states. All headlights on US cars must bear a DOT approval, and any modification of the headlight voids that DOT approval.

FOG lights may be tinted yellow, but again, they must be DOT approved.
