Default You just own anything nice anymore!

This morning on the way to the gym (i work out before I go to work) a wood chip hauling 18 wheeler with the back of the truck open (it had some sort of wire mesh in the back instead of closing doors) was not enclosed properly and was causing wood chips from its load to fly all over the interstate. I was behind him for several miles and I couldn't do anything. So I finally got to the gym to look at my car and my AC condenser is full of wood chips and my bumper has several chips in the paint now

Next time just slow down. Someone is bound to pull in in front of you and protect your car. If it's only one lane, then at least the increased following distance will offer less chance for dammage.

A good lesson for everyone.

Or just pass him man, use the shoulder or run the truck off the road.

it sux that you cant have anything without it getting ruined. Sorry to hear about your car. I had the same type of ordeal with my S when I first got it. I had it for less then a week and a truck kicked up a rock and cracked my windshield. It hurts, but the first one is the worst.

BTW, I edited your title and pout Cant in it.

Hopefully you got that company's name/number and truck number if possible. Complain to them and let them know. They might cover it.

In that situation;

A. you can phone the police, report the mess and the police will fine him for loads of things. And wont let him go till its fixed and nothing is flying out of his load.

This had happend to me with rocks to my old accord. The trucker was not enclosed and the rocks were pouring out of his truck's bay it was so crazy. I did call the cops they stopped the truck and fined him 6tickets..or more i dont remember anymore...

*Careless Driving
*Litering
*Some ticket for not having the rocks propery held with in the truck's bay
*Fined him something else with indagerment to others or something like that ..

anyway more and more...

You call in say your situation tell them where you are and the plates of the truck and they will be there in 1min.

It happen to me and i had 1000's$ worth of damage on my car from rocks... the rocks cracked everything... hood / bumper / glass / roof / mirrors... (insurence covered it.)

I hate trucks.

Is it just me, or do truckers seem to be getting more and more inconsiderate?? I remember when I was a kid, it always seemed like truck drivers were the true gentlemen of the highways. Nowadays, it just seems that they have incredibly poor manners.

I feel your pain.

Of all the horrible things that can happen to a person, losing a loved one, decapitation, anal sex.... i don't wood chips in your bumper really rank up there all too high.

Why didn't you just pull over and let him get ahead of you?
