Top down. Hell my wife drives through prime target area (Georgia Ave from Olney to downtown Silver Spring) everyday with the top down in her Porsche. She shops for groceries where one of the shootings was and buys gas where one of the other shootings occurred. I don't call this guy a sniper, from everything I have seen and heard it has all been from about 100 yards. Anyone can shoot with a scope at that distance. He hasn't hit any moving targets yet so I guess the key is to never stop moving. What red light officer? I agree with helios alomost completely.
Top down morning, noon and night until the thermometer hits freezing. I'll be damned if I change my life to suit this idiot's twisted fantasies.
The part I disagree with is putting the top up when it hits freezing. Just crank the heater up full blast it feels great.

Thanks for the kind thoughts from up north.

Does it really matter? If he hits you, you're dead regardless if the top is up or down. Of course, you'd be an easier target with the top down, but if he wants to kill you, he probably will. Screw him - just take precautions, but don't change your lifestyle because of some psycho.

I commend all of you that don't change your lifestyle. If I lived there, I would be the same way. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.

Now on a serious note....there's a lot of talk about not changing your life. I agree, but you also shouldn't take needless risk. For example, I have friends in the DC/Richmond area that I have canceled trips to see....why, if I am not there my chance of being shot is ZERO and I can't risk getting stuck in one of those MONSTER traffic jams. Face it, this asshole has effected our lives. I hate to admit it, but its true. For those that live in the area, and are not just visitors, like myself, you are in my prayers and remember: VTEC between lights, check for loose change (under the seat) whenever stopped and wait it out.

I work seven miles from the last shooting (at NOAA). Driving isn't a big deal. Standing outside the building smoking is a little creepy now. This guy wants a clear shot of someone stationary, not someone moving in a car.

Those sniper shootings are pretty scary just because you have no way to expect it, or defend yourself, I mean if he is a mile away, ya cant do much to protect yourself, lets just hope the po po's catch him before this gets out of hand (or maybe its too late for that), now I am not from the DC area, but living your normal life is the best thing to do, if you don't, he won...... I'd rather die young, then let him have that satisfaction, but I just hope that nobody else gets killed, and this man is captured and scentenced accordingly, hell, save the taxpayers money of going into a long and strenuous death penalty, I say they just feed him to the famil members who lost their family..
