thanks man, but i don't think his real first name is nick. i got a check from him before (for the clutch and pressure plate i sold him), and i remember the first name on the check not being nick. i guess i only wrote that in the other thread i had (mid-atlantic forum).

 

i just called, and i got his voicemail. i figured i'd try again, and a woman answered. she said he wasn't home.

i've asked for another number to get in contact with him through, but they don't seem to understand when i ask. their english isn't perfect, so i don't think that they're trying to avoid giving it to me.

it seems like i've got in contact with his older step-brother. he said he doesn't have a phone number, but says he'll be home for christmas. he said he'll talk to him then.

nick dang's car was stripped, and burned down (so he says) six months ago.

edit: he also said that nick currently lives in california.

 

i've talked to nick through e-mail today. he seemed sorry, but i responded in an angry fashion. i hope i get it back soon.

i'll probably call his house tomorrow (his chicago home).

he read my last e-mail, but hasn't responded, so i forwarded it to him again with another response about how i just called his house, and they said he wasn't there.

it seems like it's starting to go downhill again

i really really really don't want the headlights anymore. they were the oem "cleared" headlights, and now the 'market value' is almost half of what it was when i sent them to him. i just want my $450, or the headlights and $200 back. we'll see what happens though.

 

You should call your bank perhaps they have something. You said he had written you a check before. Check your statements perhaps you can look him up that way.

 

i thought about it, but i had closed that account already and moved to another bank a couple weeks after i cashed the check
