Corvettes are fast around corners too. Ever been to a track with them?

I shift at 4-5K normally and this car doesnt' feel slow at all...keeps up with other traffic. Then if you want to leave traffic in the rear view...just take it to redline at WOT and they go bye bye real fast.

I recently purchased a 2000 berlina black s2k..
And I noticed that it pulls pretty good only on the highway..
In the city, its as slow as a regular old civic..

It seems to pull quite nicely between 80 to 120. That is where I get decent acceleration.
Does anyone else find this accurate? does your s2k behave differently?
Did you test drive this before you bought it or is this something that changed after you bought the car.

If you knew the car drove like this, and you are somehow disappointed, then shame on you. Forced induction may be your answer.

If you have had a drastic decrease in performance, get that buggy checked out ASAP.

btw, the s is nowhere like a civic in lower rpms. i drive a 96 civic 50 miles a day, and the s definitely has a lot more oomph under 3k then my civic. ever since i got used to the s, i've had worse mpg with the civic since i get on it a lot more just to stay up with the speed i would get with my s shifting at 3k rpm with like ten percent throttle.

agreed. what those manufacturers do is test a ton of vehicles, and whichever one has the biggest gains is what they put as your hp increase in the advertisement. it means nothing for the specific vehicle. the s2k is in a very high state of tune from the factory, just a filter is not going to give you 15 hp. most exhaust systems for this car wont open it up that much. dont believe everything you read
