Default Your first VTEC

Of course I had experienced this on test drives, but its different when it's your car. I picked up my 07 a week ago, and I have been driving around trying to rack up some miles to finish up the break in. This weekend on our way to a mild canyon run, I had my first vtec

If you're local, I was on the 14 North heading to Sand Canyon. It was definitely worth the wait.

Lame thread topic? Yeah probably, but whatever.
Let's hear your stories of your first VTEC.

I had just dropped a lot of cash on a car... I took it out of the residential at low rpms, and finally after what felt like the longest three minutes ever, got to a stop light right before a freeway on ramp. Then VTACK!! What an exhilarating feeling.

My first time was after 10pm on a country road on the left side of a dashed yellow line. This was before the 600 mile mark, but WTF I was passing.

you managed to get the 600 break-in miles in one week! i've had my car for over a month and am not quite there yet. i take public transportation to work, so it's primarily a weekend car, then my folks were in town for a week.

so i am eagerly awaiting my first vtec as an owner...

my first time was my del Sol VTEC with the b16. sounded fast, but not very fast. VTEC in my B18C5 in my EK hatch sounded and pulled great. the first VTEC in my s2k wasn't as thrilling as the hatch, but i missed it after a brief hiatus from Honda. needless to say though, VTEC was awesome the very first time i found out about it.

Mine was in my 99 Civic Si... at the time didn't even know what sports cars were. Geez I was a noob. Anyway, I loved that Si and I really miss it but what a rush. That engine had 8600rpm redline stock. Really great pull on the top end even though it only had 160hp stock.

First VTEC was in my 96 H22 Prelude. Still my favorite VTEC engagement on any Honda.

My first VTEC was in my 2K Si. It was a great feeling, but the S has a way stronger kick when it hits 6K

I was spoiled by experiencing the same kind of "kick" when I drove a Lotus Elise a few months before I bought my S2000.

The first time in my car (wasn't mine at the time, but about a month later I bought it) was during my test drive of the car. I was more in awe of the handling and the best shifter I ever felt though.
