Default Your Opinions on ITB's

sorry if anybodyhas read his in the uk forum. but i thought it may be best suit here.

i'm gonna be buying my throttle bodies in the new year i've got a couple of options if found. just wondering if anbody has had any first hand dealings with any of these ITB kits.

the first being jenvey 50mm bodies these seem to make good power. up to 48bhp gain mid range. these are universal bodies on a adapter manifold. with mtx management i can buy these for 2200 pounds this includes everything to get the car running
ant @spoon told me he's fitted these and received good gains

second option is
TWM 52mm bodies from guy at cpl racing. Guy tells me that the s2000 is capiable of far more which is why the barrel is larger. he told me about s2ks in the US running 60mm bodies
dont seem to make as much power 14BHP gain. these are a cast one piece and look rly nice

the other option but its alot of work
titan roller barrel bodies kit belive this includes the fuel set up 950 does not include a manifold. as they have not deloped a kit for the s2k. to do this it would cost 5-600 for drawings and 15-1800 for castings n alloy. the flange needed is the std webber DCOE. i could possibly cut and join a s2000 manifold and a webber manifold. this could cost a couple of hundred pounds maybe.
i have no know power gains. althought should be up 2-4 BHP compaired to a normal buterfly linkage as when the throttle is fully open there will be no restriction for the air to pass. i've read from the jenvey web site that these are best suited to race engines where high end power is needed good for engines over 15'000rpm.

i was goin to buy the TWM but decided to go the F/I way..

But if you go with the TWM you might want to check to see if someone in your surroundings is good to make you an airbox.

TWN doesn't make an airbox for the S2000.

Ok well it's best unless you want to run straight without filtering. What ride you putting it on?

IMHO, worst dollar per horsepower mod you can possible do to an s2k. Just IMHO though.

A car with gears (4.57s) will still beat an ITBd s2k.

I'd hold my breath on actual gains. Drivability is also not the greatest even with cars with most of the bugs in the map worked out.

im not itb'd and from 70-120 i punished a 4.56'd ap1, 1-2 cars. 4.56 are good for down low, but the massive mid and peak numbers that a good ITB will give you can be huge, making for a impressive top end car.

IMHO, its the King of NA bolt ons, up to 40whp in the midrange and 25-30whp peak. it also provides insane throttle response along with a great "power now" feeling at almost any rpm. its not the best bang for the buck, but at the same time its the icing on the NA cake if you're already cam'd H/E/EMS.
