2001 black with red int.

20k miles. What should I pay? It has the optional front lip extension.

That's a lot of cash for a used S with that many miles.
I'm in california, an inflated market, and got my car about
five months ago with 7500 miles on it for $24,500. A deal.

What condition is the rear window in?

You should be able to find a new 2003 for $30k. I think
a difference of $3k is probably worth the upgrade. If not,
the car you'r looking at should be closer to $22-24k.

Rip off!

I got my 02 brand new for 28K on January 2002. I got a great deal cause it was winter and all but still you should be able to get an 03 in the Northeast area for around 29-30K.

Just for comparison sake - I am in the process of completing the sale of my 2000 GPW for $25K. It has 26.5K miles, and is immaculate with many extras including the front and rear OEM spoiler and side strakes. We also have a brand new rear window (replaced under warranty) as well as essentially new S02 tires all around.

I definitely think $27K is a little steep for an 01 with 20k miles. Many members of this forum tend to devalue the car (ironically). What other accessories/extras does the car have? In addition, what is its condition? Does the seller have all of the maintenance records? What is the condition of the tires?

In Nov. '02 I bought my '01 with 12k mi. for 26,500. That was after several months of shopping. It was in "showroom" condition.

I got my 00 model with 15k miles for 25 and change. When you purchase at a dealer you always expect to pay a bit more money, but you usually get my peace of mind with that extra 1,000 y ou spend.

You can have stock wheels chromed for 200 bucks, why bother trading good wheels plus money when you can just pay the 200 and get new chrome?
