While standing around shooting the shit witha group of guys in a body shop I call on I mentioned that one of the things I like about my S is the fact that it was never offered in an automatic transmission. Its a true drivers car... well he "informed" me of 2 things about the S I didnt know.

1. The S was indeed offered as an automatic: it was an option , you know.
2. The S has a magnesium block to make it more light weight.

I tried to tell him that this wasnt true, as I am very familiar with the car. This is when he threw down the trump card. You see, he used to work at a Honda dealer so he know more about the car than me. I asked him what he did there and I was informed that he was a car prep.. WOW. I just walked away stunned by my own ignorance.

BTW, he also mentioned that the S is a POS and slow so anytime I want to race him in his 2001 Monte Carlo, I should just go ahead and bring it.

It's okay ... one of the salesman in a dealer insisted that the brakes on the S2000 are made by Brembo and have 4 pistons -- I never knew Brembos look like that, nor did I know that one could fit some many pistons on floating calipers!?!

I've heard of other funny ones too ...

Ignorance is bliss... ... you have to love when people talk out of their asses and insist that they know what they are talking about.

Yea, I know, I dont even try to argue anymore. I usually just nod my head and agree and say things like, "Huh, I didnt realize that", or, " Wow, you really have studied this subject, havent you?" I really think its kinda funny.

I had someone inform me that my car had a V6 in it...I was unaware of that. Also...when I told him that I really wanted to get the red interior with the black exterior, he said that it was an option and that I missed out...I guess that I am just misinformed....
