billyjoho, I am not really sure what your point is or what you are talking about? The only difference beyond the obvious LHD-RHD is that the JDM s2000s have a higher compression ratio. The higher compression ratio give them 10 more hp, that's it. Otherwise there are no known differences. Unless you get the v-spec model which this is not.

Seems like a fair deal to me, since '02+ costs $50K+ U.S. In addition, you have at least $10K in mods, which are kinda nice. Just take the car to some knowledgeable mechanics and verify that it's in good shape. If it's good, just buy it. You're not going to find a much better deal over there.

That's an intake? Wow! I thought it was some kind of turbo. Not a well-designed intake since it's open to warm engine air. But who knows, it may work pretty well since the designers wouldn't been ignorant enough to have designed something that would ruin the car.

Anyhoo, my advice is to have it looked at and buy it if it's good. Just make sure you won't be broke after having bought it. My motto is: "If I can't afford to pay for something, I wouldn't buy it. It's better to have money than to do without."

Good luck, dude! By the way, are you Chinese? Your written English skill is very good.

Hi yellafever...

I'm actually half Aussie, half Chinese... so I can speak both fluent english and cantonese. I was studying in Sydney, but I'm now in HK (where the family is....) so I finally decided I'd fork out for a car, after saving and saving for so long ;-)

They are offering a 1 year "guarantee" on the car... the dealer's garage will look after anything that goes wrong, so as long as any problem pops up in the first year, i'm cool ;-)

So I guess from everyone's comments... this car is a pretty good deal! :-)

Thanks all for your comments. I'll be inking the deal probably tomorrow with the dealer, so if there is anything else I should mention/point out to the dealer (like change the oil with the good synthetic and premium unleaded), please let me know :-)

Thanks again!

well if you can I'd ask them to change all the fluids. Doesn't have to be synthetic in fact I wouldn't ask for synthethic just Honda fluids.

For the U.S. market that is true. For the Far East market in '00 a cassette player was standard. In Australia, I think, Honda Australia added a cd changer in the trunk as standard with the cassette player in the dash. This car might have a cassette player with a Honda cd changer in the trunk.

Barry... you are right. It is a cassette player in the front... in fact, I originally though it was ONLY a tape player installed... but then turbo_pwr pointed out the thing in the boot is a cd changer!

Anyway... I put down a deposit on the car today... about US$4000. It seems the general concensus was that this was a good value buy (considering the price of the mods, etc.) plus the mods are all expensive stuff.

Dealer said the P Zero Corsa tires are the "best"... is that true? They are mighty expensive... anything that can be used as a replacement?

BTW the dealer DID say they are 18 inch tires... you guys think it is 17 inch... :-/
