As a Rx-7 owner i have seen all kinds of different engines swaped in because no one wants to mess with rotarys or they are worried about religability. I have seen tons of ls1 3rd gen rx-7s and as mean as they are it still hurts to see it.
V8 Rx-7's are the shit. its the way they should have come stock. and unless you put in a really crappy V8, there is no reason why a rotory is a better engine choice.

as for the S2000, i think a Ford 2.3L turbo motor would be the best engine replacement. because for the price of a carbon fiber hood, or a hard top for the S2000, you can mod the motor...basically to the max. and still make more power than the FC20 could. and if you ever blew the motor, it would be a million times cheaper to rebuild then the FC20. its just an overall better motor.

and those who say the nissan V6 would ruin the handling.....please, thats what rotary boyz say about V8 Rx-7's. turns out, most V8 rx-7's are lighter and better handling then rotary Rx-7's. and more reliable, and have better fuel consumption, and more torque.

yes and no...it is simply a prototype aircraft and there are no for sures yet...but there is still speculation that they will bring it out to compete with the: Epic, Eclipse, etc.
It would be a lot easier (and probably much more profitable) for Honda to get into the aviation engine business than the airplane business.

I agree to some extent. However, there are a lot of people who really support this aircraft. I mean, when it debuted in Oshkosh it was parked next to SpaceShipOne and the Global Flyer.

People are enthusiastic about the Honda Jet. I think the main factor in honda actually producing the aircraft will be if people put their money where their mouth's are.

I'm just saying that its not decided yet whether or not they will produce the HondaJet...its still all up in the air. I'm trying to stop internet rumors with people saying...no Honda said they aren't building it...because they haven't yet.
