I recently started a "war" with my girlfriends Dad (Z06 owner). I was wondering if you would post some facts and comebacks I could use when I "argue" with him about our cars. Basically I want to know where the S2000 beats the Z06, especially in performance. I know some general things, but I would like to know what you guys think.

u cant beat a z06 in anything except it revs higher and is cheaper

 

Only thing I would add to price would be rarity. I see about twenty Z06s for every one S2k I come across.

 

Doesn't the S2000 handle better than the Z06? Sounds like I don't have much of a fight. It will take alot more than "price" to impress my girlfriends father, He also owns a '02 360 modena, 96 Viper GTS among many many more, so I would be embarased to say that. Thats like someone saying their geo metro beats me on price. I upgraded from the '00 Si to the S2000 and got some "approval." I just thought there would be more than price and rarity.


bash: I hardly ever see Z06's on the road are you sure you are seeing Z06's and not the regular coupe?

 

You are trying to argue with him, that your car is better than what sounds like it might be his beater?

If you feel you have to try to better yourself by trying to keep up with someone with those cars in the stable, I would give up now.

 

Nothing much... maybe the dash design? Plus why are you arguing with your g/f's dad? you should be making him happy.

 

I agree. Kill him with kindness. It's never a good idea to get into a penis-measuring contest with your girl's father. I suggest letting the car speak for itself. Let him drive it like he stole it on some twisty backroads. A test drive is worth a thousand words. Let him find out for himself what makes the S2k a unique value. Be sure to snapshot the wide grin he has on his face and if he ever brings up the argument again, just flash him the photo.

 

S2K beats a Z06 on gas mileage (city driving).

 

Not if the Z06 is shifting 1st - 4th everytime.
