Z06 vs. S2000
Banging your head into a wall usually puts a hole in your head quicker than it does the wall.
Let him know that if his engine was as EFFICIENT as the S2000
is at producing horsepower per liter, it would have what....600 ponies? Other than that, you have little else to compare it to.
Then again, look at the fun per dollar factor. The S2000 wins hands down. Finally, tell him Helio Castroneves and Michael Andretti both own S2000's. Name dropping is usually the last resort though.

The S2000 is a ragtop (I'm guessing his isn't), ragtops are more fun. I also be we impress more people with our car than he does since ours isn't as common. Based on looks, the Z06 looks like any other Vette, they are everywhere.
I was choosing between a Z06 and an S2K when I was car shopping, needless to say, I picked the S2K.

Its not really a war or argument per say. It all started from this video:
http://www.reverendsgarage.net/other_media...wing_s2000.mpeg
He said that the S2000 was slow and I thought it was doing fine.
Trust me the "argument" is in good fun. I just wanted to impress him with my car's features if at all possible.

Just let him drive it. What the s2000 has going for it over the z06 (IMO) is....
Agility - It may not have the overall grip but the agility, quick steering, and small size have the big boat z06 beat.
Convertible - No comment.
Refinement - one word... CHEVY
And handling may be subjective. Some people that have owned both cars say that the s2000 handles better overall while others say the z06 handles better. Again let him drive it, you never know, maybe you'll get to drive the ferrari!

The Z06 beats the S2000 in every measure of performance -- hell it stomps the 90 grand NSX as well.
Those of you claiming rarity -- there are fewer Z06's produced each year than S2000's -- although I guess you can argue that the Z06 looks just like any C5 (to me it does not).
As for the lack of agility -- have you driven a Z06? There is a reason they won the first 22 spots in SS at nationals last year..
I will say that both the Z06 and the new M coupe have shown me that having all of the power in the world does not mean you are always faster (both cars will simply spin the rears at WOT in first and second gear) -- and that sometimes the slower car, in this case my S2000 is the faster car as it can approach it's limits in a much more controlled manner.
Sometimes its more fun to work for your speed than it is to have it handed to you on a silver platter.
