Default 00 Putting out PO108

Hey All,

My car is pulling a PO108 and PO500. The car would have low and rough idles and stalled once. Now, the car is running perfectly fine but still with the CEL. Any suggestions?

P0108 is MAP sensor circuit high voltage. Have you done the "MAP Whack" and the ziptie mod? It's got nothing to do with the thermostat. There is no code for the thermostat (on an AP1) since it's not a sensored device that the ECU sees , only the coolant temp if it gets too low or too high and that becomes a ECT sensor code.
P0500 is VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) circuit malfunction. Either you have a bum sensor on the tranny or there is or once was a speed compensator (Yellow Box or Yellow Jacket) that is bad or has a loose wire.

you are correct, now that i look at the CEL list on this site it does state P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input. i have an 06 and when i got the P0108 code, next to the code it said "thermostat function" as the coded issue, strange.

Sometimes, generic scanners have codes programmed into them that are not Honda specific (or even S2000 specific). A P0108 could possibly be for "thermostat" in another brand or model of car. My old scanner came with a "code book" and many codes meant different things on different cars. I usually double check by cross referencing the scanned code with the model specific list.
And now it seems that there are AP2 specific codes that AP1s never used or ever displayed.

4000 bucks should be a really good scanner. We all have bad eyes and brain farts from time to time. Funny, we haven't heard from the OP since he posted.

Lol sorry. Yeah my S is causing me hella problems but I love it to death... I took it to a shop and apparently they couldnt replicate the problem. The problem comes and goes... Making it hard to diagnose. Most likely loose connection. Just today I got po500 and eps went off.. I will like into it when I come back from vacation. Thanks again bosses!
